Since the beginning of the year, SYRES has set up make-up mini-panels. These volunteer panels dedicated to make-up evaluation allow fast, specific tests on the main categories: complexion, lips and eyes.
The consumer tests are carried out by panellists who are make-up “experts”, either live in our test centres or in real conditions of use. They follow the new product claims that emerged with the health crisis and evaluate the main organoleptic and sensory characteristics of make-up products, their wear over time and their resistance to mask-wearing.
Because these dedicated panels are highly available, the tests can be organised with agility: for instance evaluating product wear under the constraint of a mask in all circumstances, to validate a long-wear or mask-proof claim.
SYRES currently offers tests on panels of more than 25 women per product category. Our sensory department also builds lexicons with volunteers to measure the sensory properties of products and their efficacy in terms of result and wear. The panels can be mobilised quickly and regularly throughout the year.
